How can you read the newspapers every day or watch TV news and not see that the world is simultaneously most tragically serious and ridiculously funny? In an attempt to top the inadvertently funny words and actions of people in business, movie-making and politics Barry Diller’s IAC and the Huffington Post are joining forces to poke fun at these national characters. By the end of this month, they are launching 23/6, “a multimedia comedy news site whose name is a spoof on the phrase ‘24/7,’” according to the Wall Street Journal. From a great-sounding team, look for videos - some “professionally” produced, photos, articles and, of course, a blog to “provide some of the news, most of the time.”
